Webinar Speakers


Joseph Myers (Vice President @AVTECC)


Joe Myers began his career as a technician in 1984 while pursuing a degree in Automotive and Diesel Technology at Oakland City University. After eight years in the heavy-duty diesel industry, he transitioned to the light and medium truck industry as a Ford Senior Master Technician, spending 20 years in the field before moving into education at Jefferson Community and Technical College in Louisville, KY. At Jefferson, Joe served as an instructor and later as program director for the Toyota T-TEN program, where he developed a skills-based curriculum to prepare students for the automotive industry. In 2013, he joined Toyota Motor North America as a Field Manager for the T-TEN program, eventually becoming National Manager in 2019, collaborating with organizations like the Department of Labor and Department of Education. After retiring from Toyota in 2024, Joe continues to contribute to the industry as an instructor for Advanced Vehicle Technology Group and Vice President of The International Advanced Vehicle Technology Education and Credentialing Coalition.
